Facebook Hits one billion Users

Facebook has reached one billion users after being in crises in past few months. Mr Zuckerberg updated his Facebook status to announce that the social networking site has more than one billion active users each month.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg says the company is going through a bit of a “rough cycle” after its rocky initial public offering in May.

The 28-year-old also continued to insist that he is the right person to lead Facebook. Some on Wall Street have questioned whether he has the ability to lead a large public company.

On achieving this landmark, the Facebook CEO went on to say:

“If you’re reading this: thank you for giving me and my little team the honor of serving you. Helping a billion people connect is amazing, humbling and by far the thing I am most proud of in my life. I am committed to working every day to make Facebook better for you, and hopefully together one day we will be able to connect the rest of the world too.”
