WhatsApp denies Google takeover talks
WhatsApp has denied that there are any talks with Google about a potential takeover. Reports earlier this week had suggested that the Big G was lining up a $1 billion deal, with negotiations apparently five weeks old.
However, Neeraj Arora, who runs business development for the app, has told AllThingsD that no such talks have taken place. WhatsApp has previously denied stories that it was discussing the sale of the company to Facebook.
